Entering a new Career called... "TEACHING"

all i can say is... "What am I thinking???!!!"

before, i cannot picture myself being an educator...

<di pa tapos to!>

July 24, 2012, the last time I have updated my blog.

Almost five years after, and I would still ask the same question, "What am I thinking?"
It's just funny that I am still in the profession wherein I know I would experience unexpected things,. Hahaha ang gulo ko,.. read na nga lang my Teaching Philosophy then say 'Amen' after. Hahaha

Before, all I thought about teaching is only one thing; sharing knowledge about what you’ve learned from the time that you are studying, and then you continue to learn new knowledge as you create another step to obtain new degrees and share it again to the new generation. But, I was wrong; it is not just that, teaching in St. Paul University Philippines is both an honor and a challenge, because we have to maintain the quality Catholic education, and show proper discipline as Paulinians to the students we are teaching. I would say that Education is not merely knowledge and skills, but also discipline and attitude, it is actually my way of saying it is the core of Learning. We should also clearly understand the difference of the terms “Doing things right” and “Doing the Right things”, we meet new people in this career chosen and as an educator in a Catholic Institution, we should know how to deal with people and weigh things, have continuous patience too, because when you say, “Doing things right”, involves their entire process of doing things correctly, “Doing the right thing”,  fosters an attitude that commensurate the motives and actions that are both correct. We should not stop studying, we are not perfect, we make mistakes too, and by learning from it is really a good lesson, those are the things we have to share our students. We should also share our experiences, it may be good or bad, because no matter how bad it is, it’s the learning that is important. We all have this great capability, and that is teaching, it is our way of teaching matters, as one of my favorite Marvel movie would say, “With great power, comes great responsibility”.
